One of my favorite things about being a studio photographer is getting to watch families grow over time—and the Rullo Family is such a perfect example of why I love my Baby’s First Year Membership so much.
The Rullos are part of my Baby’s First Year membership, which means instead of just one session, we get to document their baby’s entire first year together right here in the studio. Before you know it, those tiny newborn days turn into gummy smiles, sitting up, and then… a full-on cake smash ONE milestone (how does time move so fast?!).
How the Baby’s First Year Membership Works
This membership includes four milestone sessions during baby’s first year, all held in the studio:
- Maternity Session – celebrating the anticipation and excitement before baby arrives
- Newborn Session – those sweet, sleepy, brand-new moments
- 6 Month Session – smiles, personality, and sitting up (a parent favorite!)
- 1 Year Session – finished with a cake smash, which is included in the membership
It’s such a meaningful way to tell the full story of baby’s first year without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
A First Christmas + 6 Month Milestone
We recently welcomed the Rullo Family back into the studio for their baby’s 6 month session, and it couldn’t have been timed more perfectly. This session also doubled as a celebration of his first Christmas, and let me tell you… he was absolutely adorable.
From his sweet expressions to those curious little looks, he brought so much joy into the studio. Six-month sessions are always special because babies are really starting to show who they are—and he was full of charm. Adding in the holiday touches made it even more meaningful, capturing both a milestone and a season they’ll always remember.
Looking Ahead to ONE 🎂
Now that we’ve checked off the 6 month milestone, it honestly feels like we’ll blink and suddenly it will be time for his ONE year cake smash session. That final session is always such a celebration—messy, joyful, and the perfect way to wrap up a baby’s first year.
