Hi friends, I am flashing back to May 2016 on this beautiful Friday to give you a personal blog post. Not only is it Friday, its also World Photographers Day and Follow Friday so please be sure to follow me on Instagram if you do not already!
In the beginning of this year I mentioned that I was going to start blogging about my family and while business has been so busy, which is awesome, I had not had a chance to blog about my life. My family. My son. The things I love. Today I wanted to take a moment to share with you some photos that mean a lot to me taken by a good photographer friend of mine, Nichole Fredriksen of Fredriksen Photography/ Boston Portrait Company.
For the past 2 years around mothers day, I have hosted Mommy and Me Mini sessions. These are on going and became an annual mini session that I offer. Some clients I have are the same and some are different which is great! I love seeing the bond that my Ali B Moms and Ali B babies share during their session.
Since starting these mini sessions, Nichole and I worked together where I capture moments of she and her girls, and then we switch and she captures my son and I together. This is what I am sharing with you today. I like to call these “ Mommy & E.”
If you do not already know, my sons name is Ethan. He has many nicknames including – E, Ethie, Baby Cakes, Bud, ENB, Baby Big Boy, Baby Ethan… just to name a few. He will be turning 2 years on September 5 and to be honest I have no idea how that is happening? The past 2 years have been so much fun being his momma and man did they fly by! The personality that he has is amazing! He is so smart, so funny, so active and such a sweet heart. While I miss those little baby stages, each milestone that he faces is so cool to be apart of. My husband and I get to watch him grow and learn every day and we are amazed. For a 2 year old, his vocabulary is out of this world. I am not kidding when I say you can have a conversation with him and you know exactly what he is saying, what he wants and when he wants it. I started a personal project with him where I take portraits of him weekly which I hope to share once the year is complete. Its so fun to watch him change and grow.
And now, for your fri-yay viewing pleasure, my mommy and E photos. Thank you Nicole for capturing these for us! I will cherish this age with him always and I look forward to our mommy and me’s every year.
