If you know me, you know that I love shooting at sun set for those glowy light photos- but not only do I love the glowy light, I also LOVE then it is over cast outside! Overcast lighting helps minimize the shadows and squinting and it can add some color pops here and there too when many colors are being photographed. For Jill and Joe’s engagement session, they were hoping for a beautiful sun set however, it rained the whole day and stopped a few hours before their session. Well, The colors that the over cast sky gave us worked well in our favor and their photos are all so dreamy! We even got to see a little sun set toward the end of their session, even though there wasn’t any sun the whole day!
Jill and Joe chose a location that had so much meaning to them. Below, in their photos you will see a few pictures with a beautiful beach house behind them and two decks. Well, that house isn’t just a house… its THE house with that deck that Joe proposed to Jill on while her family was close by in eyes view witnessing the whole thing. I just love their engagement story and I love that they wanted that house to be in some photos with them. We walked around that area and headed to the beach for a few photos and I really am just so in love with everything about this session.
Jill and Joe, Thank you for trusting my over cast sky love! I had such a great time getting to you know both and I am so excited to see you again in August for your wedding!
