Kaitlyn + Nick | Engaged!

Kaityln and Nick’s engagement session in Downtown Plymouth is one I will never forget. Why? Well, there’s a lot of reasons, to start, when Kaitlyn and Nick decided to go with me for their wedding, they didn’t realize that an engagement session came with the package. When I contacted her to set up the session day she was very hesitant to tell me that they already had 2 engagement sessions before the big day, and she was not sure how she was going to convince her groom to be to do a 3rd engagement session, yes, you read that correctly….3rd Engagement Session. They must realllllly love each other right?! Why yes, yes they do! Kaitlyn worked hard on convincing her groom with a little help from me explaining how fun and great engagement sessions are as they allow me and my brides and grooms to get to know one another before the wedding day.

To break the ice before this session, we met at The Waterfront downtown for a drink before we got started. It was so nice to sit with them, have a beverage, some nachos and learn about the two of them- the way they met, how he proposed and all about the wedding.

Nick and Kaitlyn met through mutual friends from high school and are planning an August wedding this year with a nautical theme! They are getting married at Shining Tides in Mattapoisett with their ceremony being on the lawn with an ocean view and their reception being on the deck of the old 1800’s summer home of Shining Tides. It’s going to be absolutely perfect and I am so excited for it!

For their engagement session, they were going for a summery look with light blue and light green colors. Kaitlyn’s adorable light green shirt is from JCrew and her awesome earrings were from Stella and Dot. The smiles they were throughout this session were by far my favorite and just make my heart melt. The way they look at each other and the way they made each other laugh were caught on camera perfectly and you can just see the love all around them!

Kaitlyn and Nick, Thank you for my sangria! Thank you for meeting with me and allowing me to capture your 3rd engagement session before your wedding day! I had so much fun getting to know the two of you and I am looking forward to celebrating in August! I am so happy to have been able to get these amazing moments of the two of you, and I can not wait to capture more on the best day of your lives! Our little walk downtown was great and I can not believe we finished just before the rain came. Our walk back to car in the pouring rain will never be forgotten as I can not tell you the first or last time I ever did that until now. You guys were fantastic to work with, you trusted me and were so patient because really, “one more…” NEVER really means just one more….
