Kentucky Derby Fundraiser for the Greater Bedford Womanade

The Greater Bedford Womenade Kentucky Derby Fundraiser was more than just a community event. It was a celebration of unity, support, and empowerment. This annual fundraiser brings together residents, local businesses, and volunteers for a night filled with fun activities, friendly competition, and the spirit of giving. The goal is to empower women and strengthen the community amongst them.

Greater Bedford Womenade is a local nonprofit organization that provides financial support to individuals and families in crisis. They support individuals in the Bedford, Goffstown, and West Manchester communities. The organization operates on a simple, yet powerful principle. When people come together to support one another, incredible things can happen. Womanade focuses on helping those who are experiencing financial hardship due to unexpected life events. They assist those in need experiencing illness, loss of employment, or family crises.

The annual Kentucky Derby Fundraiser is one of Greater Bedford Womanade’s biggest fundraising events. It’s designed to bring the community together for a day of excitement and friendship. The event typically features a variety of activities, including:

  • Derby Games
  • Silent Auction
  • Best Dressed
  • Best Fascinator/Hat
  • Best Dressed Couple

All funds raised during the Kentucky Derby Fundraiser go directly to supporting individuals and families in need. Womanade operates without paid staff, which means that every dollar raised has a significant impact. The organization provides assistance with essential expenses like rent, utilities, medical bills, and childcare. By alleviating some of these financial burdens, Womanade helps individuals focus on rebuilding their lives and moving forward.

The Greater Bedford Womenade Derby Fundraiser is truly more than just a fundraising event. It’s a symbol of the strength and compassion of the community. It brings people together to support a common cause and reminds us all of the importance of helping our neighbors in times of need. The event also helps raise awareness about the challenges faced by many families in the area and the ways in which we can make a difference.
