You guys! I have to say that I LOVE it when my brides and grooms choose a special place to have their engagement session! Alexis and Nick chose to have their engagement session in the city they met in, Providence, RI. They met on the first day of school at Johnson & Wales with their rooms just down the hall from one another. Everyone there was introducing themselves on that first day. Nick thought Alexis was cute so he flung some rubber bands at her. They began talking and they bonded over playmobiles while walking through the Providence Mall. I met them for their session at the Mall and we got to take a walk just outside in such a beautiful location. A location that had a lot of meaning.
During our session I asked about the proposal story! I really love hearing those! Nick saved for Alexis’ ring over a few months, waiting for when they would both go to their summer job together on Fishers Island in N.Y. Nick told Alexis one evening to get dressed and said they were taking some nice pictures by the water. Two of his friends helped, being the photographer, and the other a bartender, got great pictures by the water. The bartender hid a bottle of champagne by the water as well. Nick proposed to Alexis right by the water as the sun was setting and the lighting was beautiful. They shared their special moment with resounding applause from their coworkers when they returned. They joined in a huge celebration right afterwards. This proposal area makes an appearance in these photos!
I have never been to Providence before! I was so excited when they chose this location, and I am so happy I got to experience it with them! I loved seeing the area where they first met and where Nick proposed. We had so much fun through the whole session, talking and laughing non stop! I can not wait to go back again!
Alexis and Nick will be getting married this month at the church that Alexis’ grandmother was married, The First Congregational Church followed by their reception at Highfield Hall in Falmouth! I can not wait!
Alexis and Nick, Thank you so much for showing me around this awesome area! I can not wait to go back there (hopefully for Fire Waters!) I really enjoyed getting to know the two of you. I loved being able to hear about all your wonderful memories from Providence, the meeting, the proposal and so much more! I was so impressed by your dancing and I can not wait to see you guys hit the dance floor! It was really hard for me to choose my favorite photos to share from out session! The love, light and laughter you guys portrayed just melts my heart! I can not wait to see you guys again for your wedding day!
