I have to admit, I went a little crazy signing us up for things to do this past spring. After a year of being home with no plans of sports and just staying safe, when things were looking good and vaccines were being administered, it was time to go back out into the world, do new things, meet new people and get the kids involved with sports and other social activities they wanted to do.
We signed up for Ninja Warrior Challenge class in Manchester, NH along with Lacrosse and Little League. This was our first time doing all 3 things and I have to say, while it was a lot, it was so fun to watch the kids get involved in things they love and meet friends.
Little League has to be one of my favorite things to watch. These kids all started knowing very little and in the end, they were all improved, knew what they were doing and worked together as a team! I remember getting the email that we needed to supply our own equipment and thinking ” oh man what did I sign us up for” but these helmets and bats and gloves and balls were used during practices and at home. Ethan took to the sport well and its so fun to watch him get so excited for something. He loved practices and he loved games. If you mentioned Baseball he was jumping up and down asking when it was time to go.
We are going to miss this wonderful team of hard working kids and coaches. Ethan is signed up for a baseball camp in August and until then, he will continue talking about coach pitch and how he can not wait to be back on a team next year! Here are some photos from his last game in June.
