There’s something incredibly special about capturing moments of family and fur babies. Especially when you get to walk alongside that family as they’ve grown and evolved over the years. The Rullo family holds a unique place in my heart because of their journey. Katie and Jason began dating when Katie was a high school senior and I had the honor of capturing her senior portraits. Jason was there too, helping me carry gear and hold reflectors—a supportive partner even back then.
Fast forward to last year, and I had the privilege of photographing their wedding, a day filled with so much love and joy. Their beloved pup, Moss, was a star guest, adding a touch of sweetness to the celebration. Now, Katie and Jason’s family has grown again with the addition of their new pup, Mufasa, making this year’s session even more memorable.
Photographing Katie and Jason over the years has been a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do. I’ve seen them go from high school sweethearts to a married couple building their life together, each milestone marked by love, laughter, and, of course, their furry companions.
This family and fur babies session was particularly special because it captured their life in this moment—Moss and Mufasa by their sides, their bond stronger than ever. Watching them interact with their pups was a testament to the warmth and joy they bring to each other and those around them.
