Rain on your wedding day is supposed to be lucky. Rain on your wedding day is a positive omen in many cultures. It signifies fertility, renewal, cleansing and unity. Casey and Tom did not let the rain from Hurricane Matthew coming through Cape Cod ruin any plans. They were saying their vows in front of their friends and family this day, and that was all that mattered!
My lead photographer, Nichole and Second Shooter Assistant Lisa photographed this beautiful Cape wedding on October 9, 2016. I am seriously so in love with their work. Yes, it poured on their wedding day. It’s hurricane season and Matthew wanted in on their party. He was not on their guest list, I am sure, but their day was perfect. They wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
Casey and Tom are high school sweet hearts! This is my 3rd High School Sweet Heart Wedding Day, and they never get old! I love hearing about how my brides and grooms met. I always love to hear about it! They met their senior year of high school during the basket ball season through mutual friends of theirs, about 8 years ago.
8 years ago, Casey and Tom created a hand shake on the night of their senior prom while they were up all night talking on the beach. They brought this handshake to their wedding day and incorporated it into their ceremony. They did their hand shake before they kissed for the first time as husband and wife! This was one of the things Casey said was her favorite parts of the wedding day. The photos of this moment are priceless and their smiles are absolutely contagious!
Casey and Tom, I loved hearing all about your wedding day and I am so happy that you both loved working with Nichole and Lisa (They Rock!) I had a blast getting to know the two of you during your engagement session last year and I loved seeing how happy you both looked on your wedding day.
