I feel like I have been waiting FOREVER for Kaitlyn and Nick’s wedding day! When I first met them this past Spring, there was magical chemistry between them. They were so much fun to photograph! Do you remember their Downtown Plymouth Engagement Session? You can check it out here. I loved every minute of that session and I loved every minute of their wedding day!
From the details to the weather to the amazing people that surrounded them on their wedding day, it was truly perfect. The venue they chose – Shining Tides Wedding Venue – was gorgeous too! Let’s say this out loud shall we, “BEST DAY EVER!” Kaitlyn gave me so much time to capture moments of the details too! All the candids, the portraits and the little things that you don’t even remember were there! Ohhhh the portraits! One of my favorite parts to a wedding day. I love getting the bride and groom together to see how they interact with one another. It’s their day and it’s so nice to see them step aside from their guests and spend time together as husband and wife.
It’s so heartwarming to see the love these two have for one another. Kaitlyn and Nick decided to have a first look before their ceremony. They wanted the bridal party and their parents there as they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day. The place they picked for their first was gorgeous with the ocean and a lighthouse right there. It was an amazing moment as Nick turned around and saw his beautiful bride for the first time. Everyone’s smiles were contagious, my face hurt from smiling so much!
It was calling for thunderstorms just before the ceremony started and Nick and Kaitlyn had to make a decision to have it held indoors or out. They decided to take the risk and get married outside as they originally planned. The rain held out and their ceremony was beautiful! This was Kaitlyn’s favorite part of the whole day! When I asked her why, she said “I knew everyone was there because of us, and to have them watching was amazing!”
Kaitlyn and Nick, I love you both, more than you’ll ever know. It feels like I have known you longer than 6 months and I hope we can stay in touch moving forward. It was evident how much love you give to those around you. You have two of the kindest smiles and most open, generous hearts of any two people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. Your caring and concern for others is like almost nothing I’ve ever seen before and it showed throughout your whole wedding day.
Never lose that part of you. Share it with those around you. It will make the world a better place. Thank you for the honor and privilege and pleasure and responsibility of documenting your big day. I wouldn’t have rather been anywhere else in the whole wide world. It was a perfect day for a perfect couple. Thank you a millions times more! xo
