You can take the girl out of Jersey…but you can’t take Jersey out of the girl. Get ready for a Valenzano Winery Wedding!!!!!
Oooooh do I have such a treat for you! I have been looking forward to this wedding all year long! As a New Jersey girl, I was a part of the color guard. I was an “eat, sleep, breathe, color guard” kind of person. I performed all throughout high school in the marching band guard and indoor guard. After high school I performed with an independent world class color guard based out of Delaware, Apex Winter Guard. All while doing this, I also taught to other high school students. One of the guards I taught that I am most proud of was Highland High School in Blackwood, NJ.
My Ali B Bride, Vicki. She was one of my guard girls when I taught at Highland High School and an amazing performer! Over the year I got to know her, not only was she one of “my girls” she was a friend, she IS a friend. I remember I went to see her off to her senior prom, just after I did her prom hair and posed her and her date in some prom photo poses ( before I started my own business!) Her prom date, by the way…. you will never guess… or maybe you will….YUP! It’s her groom!
Vicki and Sean met their senior year of high school during the marching band season and they have been together ever since! After graduating college, Vicki and Sean moved out of New Jersey to Washington State and there it was that they planned their amazing New Jersey Winery Wedding. Sean “popped the question” at a winery in Seattle called Chateau St. Michelle. She told me that the two of them walked around for sometime before Sean asked her if she wanted to sit by the pond. Just before heading back to get some wine and do a wine tasting, Sean said ” Crap, I forgot tissues.” Vicki then replied, “Why?” and at that moment, he was pulling out the ring box and said some very sweet words to her, then asked her to marry him. Of course, SHE SAID YES! I love that the venue they choose to marry, has a nice resemblance to the place that Sean proposed.
These guys were so much fun! They decided to have a first look before the ceremony, in which Vicki said was one of her favorite parts of the day! As Sean turned around to see his bride, the first thing he said was “OH HAYYYYY”. Vicki was crying but that made her laugh. It made me laugh! It was such a special moment for the two of them, one of which I know they will never forget. They had their bridal party close by as they did their first look which was special for them. I could hear them all giggling as Sean turned around to see Vicki.
One bridal party person I need to shout out to is Vicki’s MOH, Melissa. Melissa was another one of my guard girls! She too was an amazing performer and I loved getting to see her again as well! Now, she is married and expecting her 1st baby in December! (Congratulations to you and your hubby!) This wedding weekend was actually the time I announced to my New Jersey family that I am expecting again due April 2017! Melissa and I had to get a bump photo taken, thanks to my second shooter, we made that happen!
Vicki and Sean, I will never forget the email you sent me asking me for more information on Ali B Weddings. I will never forget your senior prom. I will never forget your wedding. THANK YOU so much for choosing me to capture these amazing moments of your wedding day. Getting to travel back home to New Jersey meant a lot to me! It was amazing to be back there and it was so nice to go back to the Valenzano Winery. You guys had a perfect fall day. You were surrounded by your closest friends and family who love you both and wish nothing but happiness to you. I am so thrilled for you both! Even though you guys went to different high schools, I’d like to say you are high school sweethearts. I still consider you guys, “My kids” just because you were in the band, and I hope that’s okay with you! Thank you for trusting me, thank you for staying in touch and thank you for being so awesome! Congratulations and best wishes always! I love you both!
