David and Sarah’s engagement session was one of those winter days that felt straight out of a storybook. Just days before Christmas, we met in one of the most beautiful spots in Amherst, New Hampshire, with rolling apple trees, mountain views in the distance, and a fresh blanket of snow covering the ground.
It had snowed just before our session, and as we started shooting, light flurries continued to fall—those soft, dreamy snowflakes that make everything feel calm and magical. Yes, it was cold (true New England winter!), but David and Sarah embraced it completely. From the very first moment, they were laughing, cozying up, and having so much fun together that you’d never know the temperature was dropping.
The location was absolutely stunning. Snow-dusted apple trees framed the landscape, and the mountains in the background created the perfect winter backdrop. Every direction we turned felt like another postcard moment, and the snow added such a timeless, romantic feel to their images.
As the session went on, the laughter only grew—and we wrapped things up in the best way possible: with a snowball fight. It was playful, spontaneous, and so them. Those candid moments at the end captured their connection perfectly—joyful, relaxed, and full of love.
I already know their wedding this March is going to be just as incredible, and I cannot wait to celebrate and photograph the next chapter of their story. If their engagement session was any indication, it’s going to be a day filled with warmth, laughter, and so much love—even if there’s still a little New England chill in the air.
David & Sarah, thank you for trusting me to capture this special season in your lives. What a beautiful way to kick off your wedding journey.
