Travel Blog Day 6 – Going Home

May 4, 2022

Star Wars Day!

I woke up early and packed up the room while the kids slept. PJ went out for a run and when he got back from his run, he got some stuff packed up and brought the stroller to the lobby for our return time. Kingdom Strollers was wonderful to work with. We will use them again for sure! Easy drop off and pick up of the stroller leaving us not stressed about it at all.

After he dropped off the stroller, he quickly ran to the other side of the hotel- Port Orleans Riverside to see if they had something in the gift shop I was looking for. Unfortunately we were about 30mins. Too early and we couldn’t wait for the gift shop to open as we needed to get to the lobby and meet our Mears Connect driver to get to the airport.

We finished packing up the room and headed out to the airport.

We were so full of so much happiness from this trip that while we were sad to leave ( and by we, I mean me. I am always sad to leave anywhere. Hah.) We were ready to go back home, sleep in our own beds and get back to ‘normal’ life.

The airport was busy but we got through checking our bags and baggage claim within 2 hours. We had time to grab something to eat and hang out by the gates before boarding. We were on the same flight as our friends who just made it when boarding started due to the air port crowd getting busier after we got through security.

The flight was great- very smooth. The kids listened to podcasts, and watched Netflix that I downloaded on my phone. I slept the whole ride back.

We were just so filled with so much gratitude when we got home. To this day, as I am recapping the trip, all I want to do is talk about it and share things I have learned with others. I am not a Disney expert (yet) but I will be….
