A Perfect November Wedding at Granite Links | Marissa & Andrew

Marissa and Andrew’s wedding day was certainly one of those unforgettable celebrations that fills your heart and stays with you forever. Their day began at the Marriott Quincy Boston Hotel. The energy was high, the laughter was constant, and the anticipation for the moments ahead filled every room. The weather could not have been more beautiful for a November wedding. It was chilly, crisp air with the sun shining bright, giving us the perfect backdrop from the very start.

Getting ready with Marissa and her girls was an absolute blast. One of my favorite moments from the entire day happened right in the hotel hallway. Marissa grabbed a bottle of champagne for some fun, upbeat getting-ready portraits with her bridesmaids. But before she even touched it, the bottle popped all on its own! The cork basically shot off out of sight (to this day, I have no idea where it went). Everyone screamed, then immediately burst into laughter. It startled all of us. But it also set the tone—joyful, hilarious, and full of memories they’ll talk about forever.

From the hotel, we headed to their church for the ceremony, and it was nothing short of beautiful. The moment Marissa appeared at the end of the aisle, Andrew’s reaction was surely priceless. Tears ran down his face as he saw his bride for the first time. It was raw, emotional, and truly moving. Their vows were spoken so thoughtfully and with so much heart. Every part of the ceremony reflected who they are as a couple. They are deeply connected, full of love, and surrounded by people who adore them.

After the ceremony, it was off to Granite Links in Quincy, Massachusetts, where the celebration continued in the most breathtaking way. We caught the last bit of sunlight on the hill for some stunning portraits—warm light, rolling views, and that signature Granite Links charm. As the sun slipped away, we headed down to the quarry for nighttime portraits, and WOW… these were some of the coolest shots of the whole day. We lit them from behind in the darkness, giving everything a dramatic, romantic glow, and I’m beyond grateful they braved the cold November air. It was absolutely worth it.

Inside, their reception space was glowing—romantic, elegant, and filled with excitement. Marissa and Andrew kicked off the night with a “dancing on the clouds” first dance, and it was magical. They had learned a waltz specifically for their wedding, and they absolutely nailed it. Watching them glide across the floor, completely in sync, was one of the highlights of the evening. I was so proud of them!

Throughout the night, they kept the energy going with a wedding table dash, where they visited each table for a quick photo with the guests seated there. It was chaotic in the best way—full of laughs, movement, and moments with the people they love most.

As the night came to a close, Marissa and Andrew shared a private last dance, tucked away from the noise, just the two of them soaking in the final moments of their perfect day. And even though the winds picked up and the rain started, we still made their sparkler send-off happen—and it was magical. Guests cheered, sparklers lit up the night, and the newlyweds walked through a glowing tunnel of love and celebration.

The entire day was perfect—joyful, emotional, beautiful, and filled with unforgettable memories. I’m so incredibly happy for Marissa and Andrew, and so grateful I got to capture their story from start to finish. What a day, what a couple. What an amazing celebration.
