Shannon and Chris’s wedding day at The Commons 1854 was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the heart of New England, this historic venue provided the perfect backdrop for a crisp autumn celebration. The air was filled with joy, the leaves glowed in peak fall foliage, and every detail came together beautifully. It was a day that was as heartfelt as it was breathtaking.
From the moment Shannon stepped into her gown, it was certainly clear the day would be unforgettable. Her dress was absolutely stunning! It was delicately beaded from top to bottom, with intricate detail that carried all the way through to the train. The row of elegant buttons up the back added such a timeless touch. When we carefully placed her train down, it just flowed so gracefully, catching the light in the most beautiful way. Paired with her veil, the entire look was pure bridal perfection.
One of the most special moments of the day was Shannon and Chris’s first look in the garden at The Commons 1854. With autumn leaves framing the scene, Shannon walked toward Chris as their closest friends peeked from a high window above. As they both turned around and saw each other for the first time, tears streamed down Chris’s face. It was unquestionably the sweetest reaction. It was an incredibly emotional and unforgettable moment. One that set the tone for the love and joy that carried through the rest of their wedding day.
The wedding party looked amazing, with bridesmaid dresses in rich fall tones that popped beautifully against the vibrant foliage. The colors tied the whole day together. They brought warmth and depth to the photographs and making the season feel so alive in every image.
After a day filled with laughter, love, and celebration, the night ended with something extra special. We stepped outside the party for a few quiet minutes and captured nighttime portraits. Shannon had slipped into a new dress for the celebration, and it was basically the perfect way to close out the night. Just the two of them under the glow of the evening. These portraits brought such a romantic, celebratory feel and truly wrapped up the story of their day.
Shannon and Chris’s wedding at The Commons 1854 was altogether everything a fall wedding should be—emotional, elegant, and unforgettable. It was such a joy to witness their love and capture every little detail that made their day uniquely theirs.
Shannon & Chris, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your wedding day. It was an honor to be a part of such a beautiful celebration, and I wish you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments together.
