Many times I truely wonder how I have been blessed with so many amazing couples who love and care about their photography. I am so incredibly thankful!! Katelyn was a dream bride from the start! She reached out to me after having to change her first wedding date due to the coronavirus developments last year and since then, the date had been changed a few times and trusted me all along the way. Saving the dates, capturing their engagement session, communication throughout and through the wedding day Katelyn and Ben were a pleasure to work with and I’ve enjoyed their company. I met friends and family and several times throughout the night they complimented me on how much fun they had and how amazing the day has been. I am always honored when I get those compliments, they really make my heart happy and I can only hope that the couple agrees with them!
On my way to Plymouth it was down pouring and visibly hard to see on the highway. Once I made it to Plymouth, the rain was slowing down and I kept praying for Ben and Katelyn and for the weather to clear. I don’t know about you but when it rains on a wedding day I always pray for a pocket of no rain so the bride and groom can get some fresh air, be together away from the party for just a few moments and so I can capture them together in the outside light that we all know and love. Once it was time to start taking photos outside, the rain stopped and it never started again! We did not need to worry about umbrellas and everyone was able to be outside for photos. I even got to drive a golf cart to my favorite places at Pinehills for bride and groom portraits!
Ben and Katelyn exchanged vows they had written and it was one of my favorite parts of the wedding day, listening to their vows to each other. There was not a dry eye in the room. They had the right amount of funny, and serious in their vows to each other it was just beautiful to get to witness and capture. You could feel the love between them and you could feel the love from their guests pouring on to them as well. I got emotional during their ceremony too. It was just perfect.
Ben and Katelyn, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for trusting me to capture your wedding day! looking back through our conversations through email I had to remind myself how many times your date was changed and I can’t believe the final date finally arrived and it was absolutely amazing! From the pouring rain stopping to the ceremony and golf cart ride and dancing on the dance floor with your amazing DJ and guests, Lisa and I had the best time and we are so incredibly happy for you. Wishing you love, laughter and happily ever after, always! xoxo, Alex
