Springtime Engagement Session | Katie & Lyle

There’s something about a springtime engagement session in Boston. It just feels magical—the city just comes alive! There are soft blooms, glowing light, and a sense of renewal in the air indeed. Katie and Lyle’s engagement session took place on one of those absolutely perfect spring days. Exploring the city with them was markedly a joy from start to finish.

We began our session in the heart of Beacon Hill, where every corner looks like it belongs on a postcard. The historic brownstones, charming gas lanterns, and cobblestone streets gave us a cozy, romantic backdrop. Katie and Lyle were so easy and natural with each other. Whether walking hand in hand down Acorn Street or laughing on a quiet stoop, their connection was effortless and genuine. The sunset light filtered through the narrow alleys beautifully, giving us that soft, golden glow that photographers dream about.

After soaking in all the character of Beacon Hill, we made our way over to the Boston Public Garden, which was bursting with spring color. Tulips in full bloom, flowering trees swaying gently in the breeze, and the iconic bridge over the lagoon all added to the dreaminess of the scene. The weather couldn’t have been more ideal—warm sun, a light breeze, and a sky that stayed bright and clear throughout.

Katie and Lyle embraced every moment of the session, and it made the whole experience feel like a relaxed walk through the city with two dear friends. Their laughter, sweet glances, and the way they lit up in each other’s presence made every photo feel special.

Sessions like this remind me why I love engagement photography—capturing not only beautiful locations but also the emotion, connection, and joy between two people preparing for a lifetime together.

Katie & Lyle—thank you so much for inviting me to be part of this season in your lives. Photographing your engagement was an absolute honor, and I loved every minute of our time together. I can’t wait to see what your future holds and feel so lucky to have documented this sweet chapter. I can not wait for your wedding day!
