This was the first shoot I have done in the City! Isn’t that crazy!? Yes, I know…it really is! I only live about an hour from Boston but I primarily shoot on the cape and those beautiful beaches! When Cyndy and John said they wanted to have their engagement session in Boston at the Public Gardens, I was so excited! While I love the Cape, I love the city too and I could not wait to document their engagement story in Boston! We met at the Public Gardens, and while I have never had the chance to get on over to Acorn Street, I knew it was close by and asked them if they wanted to go there. Acorn street is the most photographed street in Boston. I had my camera, I had an awesome soon to be Mr and Mrs. and It just had to happen. Cyndy and John were all for it and we were on our way to Acorn Street!
Wow!! The cobble stone road, amazing brown stone apartments and the ivy had my heart skip a few beats! I love this street and now that all 3 of us have seen it for the first time, I think we all love this street! After a few images there, we walked over to the gardens. I forgot how much I love Boston and all of the views! It’s such a beautiful city and this night, was a perfect night for a walk and photos!
Cyndy and John went to the same high school together, but did not really know each other then. They were introduced by a mutual friend and connected right away, 27 years later! John proposed to Cyndy a week before they had a big tip to Paris planned. They went to the Fruitlands Museum in Harvard on a gorgeous October day and as they were walking through the museum, John asked to take a break. He pulled out a tissue from his pocket and there was the ring!
Cyndy and John, I can not wait for your wedding at the Nashoba Valley Winery in Bolton, MA. I had so much fun walking around the city, getting to know you both! Your wedding is going to be perfect and I am so excited you chose me to document your story! Just a few more weeks!!! It is coming up fast! Here are a few of my favorite photos from our session!
