Museum of Science | Kim & Landon’s Night to Remember

Kim and Landon’s wedding day was a perfect blend of elegance, adventure, and personality, just like the couple themselves. As geologists who share a love for exploring the natural world, their wedding was held at the Museum of Science. It’s one of the most unique and fitting venues in the Boston area. So it only made sense for them to tie the knot surrounded by what they love most. It was basically the perfect location.

Their day began at the stylish and modern Kimpton Marlowe Hotel in Cambridge, MA. This is where the couple got ready in separate suites filled with excitement and anticipation. Just outside the hotel, nestled along the quiet canal, Kim and Landon shared their first look and exchanged private vows. It was certainly an emotional and sweet moment, framed by the calm water and city reflection. The perfect peaceful pause before the fun of the day truly began.

From there, we headed over to Memorial Drive, where the skyline of Boston served as the backdrop for the wedding party and family portraits. The views were stunning! With a mix of nature and city, it felt incredibly fitting for two scientists who love the outdoors but call the city home.

Then it was time for the main event — the ceremony and reception at the Museum of Science. With the museum closed to the public, the entire space felt like a private playground for their celebration. There was a whimsical “Night at the Museum” atmosphere as guests wandered through open exhibits, cocktail in hand, pausing to explore and take it all in.

Kim and Landon exchanged vows surrounded by friends and family outside overlooking the Boston Skyline. Later, cut their cake right in between the rock exhibits — a perfect and personal touch for this geology-loving couple. Every corner of the museum held meaning. It was a dream setting for a pair whose story is rooted in the natural world.

The reception was vibrant and full of energy. The dance floor stayed packed all night, and laughter echoed through the exhibits. Guests enjoyed roaming the museum between songs, and the entire night felt like an immersive experience rather than a traditional wedding. Kim and Landon’s wedding was truly unforgettable. It was a heartfelt celebration of their love, their shared passions, and the beginning of their next big adventure.

Thank you, Kim and Landon, for inviting me to be part of such a meaningful and joy-filled day. Your love rocks — and so did your wedding! Wishing you a lifetime of adventure together, both above and below the surface.

  • Ali is quite literally the greatest photographer in the whole world. A true gem! She made our wedding a more than splendid experience! With her professionalism, and wonderful eye, my family and friends have been raving about her photos, and her as a person. It was an honor and a pleasure to have had her and her assistant on our special day. We will never be able to thank her enough for all the work that she did for us, we will forevermore hold her dear to our hearts for capturing the moments that went by entirely too quick. If you are on the fence about hiring her services, get off it, you will never have a better time, or make a quicker friend!
